Board of Directors

• Passion for Girls on the Run’s mission to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and  confident to reach their full potential.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain volunteer structures in a grassroots organizing capacity.
• Aptitude for connecting with people, forming and maintaining new relationships, and asking folks to step up.
• High level of comfort with using technology to support organizing (Zoom, email platforms, social media platforms, etc.). 
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and consistent reporting habits.

This volunteer position is:

• Fulfilling work for which all adults, including older seniors, BIPOC, and those of other diverse backgrounds and experiences, are encouraged to apply
• A good match for those who work at companies which encourage volunteerism and provide time off of work to volunteer or other benefits for volunteering
• A good fit for applicants with flexibility in their schedules, gaps in their resume, retirees, or those who have been out of the workforce

After you have completed the board member application and completed the interview process, if you are selected to serve on the board of directors, you would be elected for an initial two-year term, required to serve on one of the board's committees and commit to a minimum of 3 hours per week to complete responsibilities.
